Connect IoT
New

Your sensors, now fluent in AI.

Connect Claude, ChatGPT and other AI assistants to your Connect IoT sensors, sites and alerts. Ask about the physical world in plain language, and set up new locations just by describing them.

How it works

From question to action, in seconds.

The Connect IoT MCP server gives your AI assistant a full set of tools covering your account: every device, site, geofence, dashboard and alert. It picks the right ones, calls them, and tells you what it found or did.

01

Monitor

Ask about anything your sensors can see. Your assistant finds the right devices, pulls their readings and history, and answers in plain language, with the numbers to back it up.

02

Set up

Describe the site you want. Your assistant draws the geofence, tags the sensors and wires up the alerts, asking you to confirm before it changes anything.

03

Build

Ask for the view you need. Your assistant picks the devices, adds the widgets, lays them out and shares a link with your team.

Create & manage

Sites, managed by conversation.

Your AI doesn't just read sensor data. With your approval, it can create and change things in your account: sites, geofences, dashboards, assets and alerts.

Geofences

Draw a site with a sentence. Your assistant sets the radius, picks who gets notified, and tells you what's already inside.

“Put a 250m geofence around our Rotterdam depot and tell ops when a trailer leaves.”

create_geofence

Dashboards

Describe the view you need and get a live dashboard: the right devices, the right widgets, ready to share.

“Build a cold room dashboard with temperature, humidity and battery for every sensor.”

create_dashboard

Assets & tracking

Ask where an asset is, where it's been, or which ones left a site today. Your assistant reads the history and gives you the short version.

“Which trailers left a site today, and where are they now?”

list_assets

Alerts & actions

Thresholds, contacts and escalation in one request. Connect IoT does the watching around the clock and notifies the right people.

“Text the on-call engineer if any freezer goes above −18 °C.”

Capabilities

If your dashboard can do it, your AI can too.

The server is generated from the live API behind your Connect IoT dashboard, so new features show up as new tools automatically.

Devices

List, find, rename, tag, move and claim sensors across sites.

list_devices

Live & historic data

Latest readings and full history for any device, by day or time range.

list_device_frames

Geofences

Draw zones, see which devices are inside, and review enter and exit history.

create_geofence

Assets

Track trailers, tools and equipment, and the devices attached to them.

list_assets

Dashboards

Build, lay out and share dashboards and widgets.

add_dashboard_widget

Alerts & actions

Set thresholds, choose contacts and read the alert log.

create_action

Reports

Create scheduled reports and fetch the generated files.

create_report

Downlinks

Reconfigure devices over the air, like changing reporting intervals.

send_downlink

Location engine

Estimate positions from LoRaWAN gateways or Wi-Fi, and turn coordinates into addresses.

Get started

Connected in minutes. Nothing to install.

Connect IoT hosts the MCP server for you. Point your AI assistant at it, then sign in with your Connect IoT account or use an API key.

Server URL

https://mcp.connect-iot.eu/mcp
1

Get an API key

Using Claude.ai or ChatGPT? Skip this step: you'll sign in with your Connect IoT account instead. Otherwise, open your account page, generate a key, and keep it somewhere safe.

2

Connect your assistant

Add the server URL above as a custom connector (Claude.ai, ChatGPT) or paste it into your client's MCP settings (Claude Desktop, Claude Code, VS Code, Cursor, Codex). Then just ask: “List my Connect IoT devices” is a good first test.

Security

Powerful, and still in your hands.

The MCP server is a thin layer over your Connect IoT account. Your data stays in your account, and every request runs with your own permissions.

Your permissions, nothing more

The assistant acts as you. It can only see and change what your Connect IoT user already can.

Approve before it acts

Lookups are read-only and deletes are flagged as destructive, so your assistant can tell them apart. Keep approval prompts on for anything that writes or deletes.

Sign-in or keys you control

Sign in with your Connect IoT account, or create a separate API key for each machine and revoke any of them whenever you like.

Give your AI a sense of the physical world.

Connect your sensors to Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client in minutes.
